The Peugeot "Mathus" corkscrew will allow you to uncork without risk of piercing the cork. This steel two-prong corkscrew will also be very useful for retrieving a cork that has been pushed in or broken in the neck of the bottle. Simply insert the two prongs between the cork and the inside of the neck, then twist while pulling. Its design is inspired by 19th-century models (formerly called "cork-turners").
